A suspect who believes construction is destroying the environment has set fire to heavy machinery in Chambly, Quebec, Canada, the Toronto Sun reported last week. The incident was the fifth in the past eight months, resulting in damage to four forklifts and a mechanical excavator.

The suspect, who appears to be the same person according to police, usually leaves a message. In the latest case, the message was written on a piece of paper and left on a trailer at the jobsite. The note read “the planet is not for sale” in French and English.
