Eric Sauvage Named CEO of LBX Co.

Sept. 6, 2013

LBX Co., maker of Link-Belt excavators, said Eric Sauvage will succeed Robert Harvell as president and CEO following his retirement at the end of the year. Harvell joined Link-Belt Construction Co. in 1976 and in September 1998 he was named executive vice president of the newly formed LBX Co. LLC, which was previously the excavator division of Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co. Harvell became CEO in 2000.

Sauvage joined the company in 2008 as vice president and chief financial officer, with responsibilities for engineering/product development and strategic planning. Sauvage has more than 24 years of experience in financial and operations leadership positions in North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East in construction equipment.

“Eric’s broad business background in both the international and domestic markets, extensive experience in the construction industry, and proven work record and accomplishments within LBX makes him well suited to lead the organization,” said Harvell.

LBX Co., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Construction Machinery, is manufacturer of Link-Belt hydraulic excavators, scrap/material handlers, demolition equipment and forestry equipment.
