The Gorman-Rupp Co., manufacturer of pumps and related equipment, was recently recognized by Audit Integrity Inc. in its Audit Integrity Top 100 List as being among the top 100 companies that “showed the highest degree of accounting transparency and fair dealing to stakeholders during 2006.” More than 8,000 U.S. public companies were reviewed.
The listing represents companies that consistently evidenced accuracy in financial reporting and conservative corporate governance. Selection was made through a set of quantifiable rules that monitor persistent transparent accounting, fair and reasonable management compensation, and other measurable characteristics that define the character of the company.
