Atlas Copco Completes Acquisition of Industrial Screw Compressor Maker Ekomak

Atlas Copco has completed the acquisition of Ekomak, a Turkish manufacturer of industrial screw compressors.

Atlas Copco has completed the acquisition of Ekomak, a Turkish manufacturer of industrial screw compressors. Ekomak had revenues in the past 12 months of €23 million (about U.S. $28.1 million) and about 160 employees.

In Turkey, the company develops, produces and sells stationary, oil-injected screw compressors, including variable-frequency drive options. Ekomak also has its own sales and service operations in Russia and Germany and a network of distributors for other countries.

Ekomak is part of the Industrial Air division within Atlas Copco’s business area Compressor Technique.

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Atlas Copco is an industrial group that produces compressors, expanders and air treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems. The company’s Compressor Technique business area provides industrial compressors, gas and process compressors and expanders, air and gas treatment equipment and air management systems. It has a global service network and offers specialty rental services.
