Jan. 19, 2011
New products will account for 20 percent of total sales in 2011, doubling the previous year’s figures, and foreign markets will grow to 40 percent of sales, said Martin Schnurr, president of Stanley Hydraulic Tools at the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas this week.

New products will account for 20 percent of total sales in 2011, doubling the previous year’s figures, and foreign markets will grow to 40 percent of sales, said Martin Schnurr, president of Stanley Hydraulic Tools at the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas this week.

Schnurr said the company also plans to expand its parts plant in Jiasan, China, to produce handheld tools to support global growth initiatives.

“We intend to become a truly global enterprise through new products that advance technology in every market segment in which we compete,” Schnurr said. “We are committed to growing the company through technology leadership, and by developing all products in house, with no outsourcing.”

Stanley introduced at the show:
The F16 Remote Controlled Demolition Robot;
The MBO5, standard equipment on the F16 and the first breaker to combine three bracket assemblies in a single component, the company said;
MDP20R demolition processor that separates concrete from steel reinforced bar in seven seconds and weighs 1,100 less than competitive models, the company said.

Stanley Hydraulic Tools also plans to expand lines of underwater tools, with special focus on the U.S. Gulf Coast, Europe’s North Sea, Brazil and Australia. Schnurr said the company will use its leverage as a business unit of Staney Black & Decker to accelerate growth.

“We have the presence, brand recognition and resources of a Fortune 500 company in all our markets, and will use that advantage to build sales,” said Schnurr. “New products will drive the next three years growth as we focus on core markets and bolster product lines that deliver customer solutions.

Stanley Hydraulic Tools is based in Milwaukie, Ore.
