Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Construction Equipment last week signed franchise agreements for new Volvo equipment rental centers in the metropolitan Philadelphia, Pa., area.
Wenner Equipment, West Chester, Pa., and Ballantine Industrial Truck Service, Langhorne, Pa., and their principals, John Wenner and Robert Mannherz, respectively, entered into Volvo CE Rents franchise agreements to own and operate independent Volvo CE Rents centers in their cities and will open centers within the next few weeks.
Volvo CE Rents now has 33 rental centers open in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, California, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Arkansas, New Jersey, Alabama and Kentucky. In addition to these franchises now in operation, the company has 41 franchise development agreements signed with other North American business interests seeking independently owned and operated franchise opportunities in the equipment rental industry, including the two just signed in Pennsylvania.
The company recently completed franchise agreements with two companies in Ireland; other Volvo Rents franchises are now in operation in Europe and development agreements have been completed for up to 18 rental centers in Spain.
