Aggreko plc was selected as the “mission critical” partner of choice by the Paris 2003 IAAF World Athletics Championships scheduled for August 23-31. The New Iberia, La.-based temporary power and air conditioning rental specialist will design, engineer, install and operate all the temporary power and air conditioning systems for the event. The systems will provide continuous power for broadcasting, security, timing, lighting and event hospitality operations, equivalent to providing electricity for 1,500 medium-sized homes.
In other Aggreko news, the company recently introduced its new line of GHP2 diesel electric generators into the U.S. market, available in 60kW, 100kW, 125kW, 175kW and 320kW configurations, the company said.
Aggreko is No. 11 on the RER 100.
