LiuGong Close to Acquiring Polish Manufacturer, Polish Press Reports

Trade unions at Huta Stalowa Wola, a Polish state-owned construction machinery and military equipment manufacturers, have agreed on a package of employment conditions with Chinese construction equipment manufacturer LiuGong Machinery, reported Polish new outlet Rzeczpospolita. The agreement brings LiuGong Machinery closer to buying HSW’s civilian construction equipment arm, the outlet said. Rzeczpospolita wrote that LiuGong will pay more than 250 million Polish zloty (about U.S. $80 million) for the company.

As part of the agreement, Rzeczpospolita said, LiuGong will guarantee employment at the Polish manufacturer for four and a half years, providing a 3-percent pay raise.
