Gradall Industries is displaying its XL 5200 III excavator at Bauma 2010, the company said. The crawler excavator, which weighs 54,452 pounds, is the largest model in the Gradall fleet of machines designed for highway construction, high productivity excavation, demolition and material movement as well as finished grading and sloping.

The unit features a telescoping tilting boom, requiring only minimal overhead clearance allowing it to work in tunnels, under bridges, on the ground floors of multi-story buildings and other places where conventional excavators with knucklebooms don’t normally fit.

The Bauma trade fair will be held April 19-25 in Munich, Germany.
