Caterpillar Plans U.K. Investment

Caterpillar has announced a £50 million investment in its Tees Valley, U.K., plant. The investment will be divided between its Building Construction Products division in Stockton, U.K., which makes steel components for construction equipment, and its Desford, Leicestershire, facility.

England’s business minister Mark Prisk called the move a vote of confidence in U.K. manufacturing.
