Flooding rains that fell in the Bellingham, Wash., area Dec. 11-12 boosted calls to Birch Equipment Rental & Sales from local homeowners with flood waters in and around their homes.

Calls started coming in at 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 12, according to the Bellingham Herald, because of flooded crawl spaces, yards and basements. In Bellingham, the company provided more than 30 pieces of equipment, including dehumidifiers and pumps.

Headquartered in Bellingham, Wash., Birch Equipment Rental is No. 94 on the RER 100. It carries equipment suitable for flood response including generators, pumps, light towers, dehumidifiers and heaters. It has stores in Bellingham, Anacortes and Mount Vernon, Wash., and Sitka, Alaska.
