Fort Worth, Texas-based Rental One recently opened a new branch in Arlington, Texas, the company’s sixth location. Rental One vice president and co-owner Mike O’Neal told RER the facility used to house a branch of A-1 Rentals, previously owned by the O’Neal family.

“We had to do some heavy repairs to the building, now it looks like a brand new facility,” O’Neal said. “We’re excited about it; it is a good convenient location for a lot of our customers.”

Rental One has six branches, dispersed through the widely spread-out Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. Rental One will share the 3-acre property with Supply Depot, a sister company to Rental One, which sells a wide variety of contractor supplies. “Rental One is the front building, Supply Depot is the back building,” O’Neal added. “The supply company has a lot of items we don’t sell through the rental center, such as rebar, lumber, chemicals, a lot of items our customers buy.”

Tim Feldman is manager of the new branch. Feldman worked for A-1 Rentals as branch manager of its Austin location, O’Neal said, and recently joined Rental One doing inside sales until the branch manager opportunity in Arlington presented itself.

The new branch is in a developed commercial area, not far from Cowboy Stadium, which will be completed in the coming months.

In other Rental One news, the company will be going live on the SmartEquip network this week. “SmartEquip technology is revolutionizing the rental industry,” O’Neal said.

Rental One is No. 95 on the RER 100.
