Kohler Rental Supplies Power to the PGA Tour Presidents Cup

Kohler Rental Power last week provided the electrical needs, air conditioning and mobile restroom needs for the Presidents Cup golf tournament Oct. 6-11 at San Francisco’s Harding Park Golf Course. The Presidents Cup brings together golf’s biggest names for an all-star matchup that pits an international team against one that is made up of some of the best American players.

Kohler Rental Power last week provided the electrical needs, air conditioning and mobile restroom needs for the Presidents Cup golf tournament Oct. 6-11 at San Francisco’s Harding Park Golf Course. The Presidents Cup brings together golf’s biggest names for an all-star matchup that pits an international team against one that is made up of some of the best American players.

“It’s a measure of the PGA Tour’s faith in Kohler’s ability to provide dependable power and an expert team that we entrust them with important and internationally visible events,” said Matthew Kamienski, director – tournament operations and sponsorship services. “The PGA Tour has a long history with Kohler Rental Power, and we’ve developed a great partnership.”

This year’s event is the eighth overall and marks the fourth time that Kohler Rental has supported the PGA Tour Presidents Cup, having also provided turnkey services in 2000, 2005 and 2007. The Presidents Cup has a huge number of moving pieces and Kohler Rental Power provides technical design services, equipment and onsite management before, during and after the event. This year’s plan calls for a little more than 6 MW of power and includes supplying and constantly managing and monitoring dozens of Kohler generators, power distribution, air-conditioning units, and several mobile luxury restrooms for all of the hospitality tents, the players’ trailers, the media and merchandise centers, and the opening and closing ceremonies.
