The ARA Foundation and The Global Rental Alliance last week announced that the second of the virtually simultaneous international rental exchanges is now under way, with Michael Hayek working at Eagle Rentals in Seguin, Texas.

Hayek is a branch manager for Kennards Hire P/L in Sydney, Australia, where he oversees two branches. He worked with Eagle Rentals through the end of last week, before attending the Texas Rental Association Roundup in San Antonio, from Sept. 18-20 and then working at Taylor’s Rental Equipment Co. in Fort Worth, Texas, for several weeks. Following that, he will work at Taylor Rental/A&A Tents in Shreveport, La., and attend the American Rental Association Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 16-18.

Hayek and Todd Daymont are the current exchange participants. Daymont, manager of American Party Rentals in Durham, N.C., is working at Harry the Hirer in Richmond, Victoria, Australia, just outside of Melbourne, through October.

Both Daymont and Hayek will be writing about their experiences for a blog on The Global Rental Alliance website, www.globalrentalalliance.com.

The international rental exchange is a partnership between the member associations of The Global Rental Alliance to advance careers in rental and increase worldwide awareness of the equipment rental industry. The ARA Foundation facilitates the program on behalf of The Global Rental Alliance. The Alliance associations include ARA, Canadian Rental Association, DLR of France, European Rental Association, Hire Association Europe, Hire Industry Association of New Zealand, and Hire and Rental Industry Association Ltd.
