Bobcat Co. last week announced an increase in pricing, effective May 9. Suggested list price for machines and options will increase up to 3 percent, the company said. Select attachments will also increase.

Bobcat attributed the price increase to the economic downturn effects on the supply chain, including the number of available suppliers, their ability to respond to the increasing surge in global demand of construction equipment, and the rising price of commodities used in the manufacture of their equipment.

Bobcat Co., headquartered in West Fargo, N.D., is a business of Doosan Infracore Co., Ltd., a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and distribution of compact and heavy industrial products. Bobcat compact equipment includes skid-steer, all-wheel steer and compact track loaders; compact excavators; mini-track loaders; VersaHandler telescopic tool carriers; utility vehicles; compact tractors and Toolcat utility work machines.
