The MPG 6600 portable generator from Magnum Products features a Honda GX390 gas engine with a net power rating of 11 hp with a recoil start. The MPG 6600E electric start model is also available. A 6.6-gallon fuel tank allows for hours of continuous operation at full load, while a low-oil shutdown system — standard on all models — prevents damage to the engine extending the life of a jobsite generator. The auto idle feature reduces engine wear and fuel consumption.

“The patent-pending flared frame design provides a ‘shin saving’ comfortable carry not only for the safety of rental store employees, but also for the operator of the rental unit,” says Bob Klinker, director of sales and marketing for Magnum Products. “The robust 1.25-inch tubular steel flared design also provides added protection of the unit's components from the rugged activities of the jobsite or handling.”

Access and serviceability are simplified with the flip-down control panel that offers unrestricted visibility of all panel components, secured for added jobsite protection. Receptacles and switches are well spaced for quick and easy access. All outlets have GFCI protection from a central GFCI module for added safety. The MPG 6600 is rated with a continuous output of 6,000 watts. A 120/240 voltage selector switch allows for maximum power output capabilities.
