Wacker

The WM engine series from Wacker offers advanced automotive technology designed to deliver improved performance, longer life, quieter operation and lower operating costs. The WM Series is an air-cooled engine line that uses chain-driven overhead cam (OHC) technology. This design offers high performance through more power, easier starting because of lower pulling force, longer life with 33-percent fewer moving parts in the valve train, lower maintenance and lower fuel consumption. The OHC technology allows the intake and exhaust valves to be positioned for optimum engine performance.

Perkins

The Perkins 800 Series is a line of naturally aspirated and turbocharged 4-cylinder engines offering a capacity of 3.3 liters. The 800D range offers a 4-percent increase in power and a torque rise of 5 percent over its predecessor the 800C Series. Noise refinements of more than 2 dB(A) have been made through quieter combustion. A redesigned gear train and stiffer timing case reduces noise and vibration. An increase in top tank temperature (110 to 112 C) is designed to minimize impact on heat rejection and provide customers with ease of installation.

Honda

Honda's GX25 360-degree inclinable four-stroke engines can be used and stored in any position through a design that keeps oil in a completely misted state, lubricating moving engine parts and ensuring that oil cannot accidentally flow into the combustion chamber. This quiet, low-pollution four-stroke technology in engines is designed for equipment such as trimmers or small tiller/cultivators that previously could only be powered by two-stroke engines. The design of these engines, including an overhead-valve cross-flow combustion chamber, provides a wide, smooth range of torque.

Briggs & Stratton

Briggs & Stratton introduces the gasoline-powered electronic fuel injection (EFI) model engine, which is an extension of the company's Vanguard 3/LC three-cylinder, liquid-cooled commercial engine line. The EFI system automatically adjusts engine settings in real time for quick, no-choke cold starts, and to compensate for altitude and environmental variables. The engine is rated at 34 gross hp and an advanced 32-bit engine control unit provides responsive performance with enhanced driveability, the maker says. On-board diagnostics built into the unit are designed to provide accurate troubleshooting for reduced equipment downtime.

Kubota

Kubota Engine America's diesel engine line-up ranges from 13.3 to 99.2 hp. The engines are part of the Super Mini, 05, 03M, V3 and the 07 Series. The 07 Series features a cylinder block design that allows for a larger displacement within the current 2.4-liter compact engine package. The engines offer up to 100-percent power take-off from a gear train located on the flywheel side designed for compact positioning of PTO hydraulic devices. This design makes it possible to install up to three hydraulic pups with different capacities.

Subaru

Subaru introduces the EX40 overhead cam engine to its line of high-performance air-cooled, 4-cycle EX Series engines. The chain-driven overhead cam technology allows the EX40's intake and exhaust valves to be positioned to offer lower resistance for the air/fuel mixture flow, according to the manufacturer, thus optimizing engine performance. Designed with an efficient pent-roof combustion chamber, the EX40 is able to utilize a high compression ratio to produce higher power and torque.
