The Genie GTH-844 rough-terrain telehandler features a 74-hp Tier 4 final engine option, a 99-h- Tier 4 Final Deutz 3.6 L diesel engine and a Perkins 99-hp turbocharged engine. Genie also updated the axles, which have two gear ratios performance-matched to each engine size. Standard features include a Quick-Attach system, low-profile tires, fenders and a lift shackle at the boom tip. A storage compartment has been added in the front of the unit to keep rigging equipment from scratching the machine. An optional rear proximity alarm can supplement the operator’s direct and indirect visibility, providing an audible and visual indication of obstacles within the detection range of the sensor.
Designed to lift loads up to 32 feet, the HTL 7732 is built for the construction industry. The machine has a midrange capacity of 7,700 pounds and a reach of 32 feet high with an outreach of 23 feet, 7 inches. The HTL 7732 is precise and comfortable to operate and uses the same hydrostatic transmission as the larger products in the range. The 7732 has proportional controls and has a standard load management system. The HTL joystick enables an all-in-one control to ease simultaneous operations. The 7732 is equipped with frame leveling for efficient load positioning.
JCB’s 540-140 Hi Viz telescopic handler offers a nearly 8,500-pound maximum lift capacity with a maximum lift height of 44.2 feet on wheels, or 45.2 feet when using stabilizers. The 540-140 Hi Viz Loadall is up to 9.25 inches lower than the standard 540-140, designed for improved visibility across the offside and to the rear. Visibility is further improved thanks to a 13 percent reduction in the boom section and a more compact rear chassis section, which reduces overhang by 13 inches. Hydraulic performance is matched with the engine’s output, while lift performance has been tailored to the machine’s stability.
The upgraded line of SkyTrak telehandlers are powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins QSF 3.8L diesel engine. A 74-horsepower engine that does not require diesel exhaust fluid comes standard on models 6036 and 6042, and is optional on model 8042. A single joystick provides enhanced multifunction capability, and combined with the new integrated arm rest, is designed to reduce operator fatigue. The unit’s dash panel display has been redesigned for clarity. Additionally, air conditioning is an OEM option on SkyTrak machines for the first time.
The Manitou MRT 3255 Privilige Plus rotating telescopic handler is the first telehandler from Manitou that can lift higher than 100 feet with a maximum lift height of 103 feet, 4 inches, with a lift capacity of 12,100 pounds when equipped with forks and 15,860 pounds when equipped with a winch. It is powered by a Tier 4-certified Mercedes-Benz 231-horsepower diesel engine, which provides 664 foot-pounds of torque. The 3-in-1 machine can work in multiple operating modes: telescopic handler, winch and platform. It has an optional remote control feature that allows the operator to control the machine from outside the cab.
The Extendo 944B is powered by a 117-horsepower Cummins QSF 3.8 Tier 4 Final turbo diesel engine, featuring electronic control and protection with SCR aftertreatment. A Parker IQAN-MD3 display has been added to provide instant engine and aftertreatment diagnostics. The unit’s Dana T12000 Powershift series transmission offers three speeds, forward and reverse. Delivering a maximum load capacity of 9,000 pounds, the 944B provides forward reach up to 30 feet, 3 inches, and a maximum lift height of 44 feet, 4 inches. For operation in tight areas, the 944B offers 4-wheel, 2-wheel and crab steering modes and has a turning radius of 14 feet 1 inch.
Skyjack’s four new TH series telehandlers use improved gearing, high torque engines and a simplified, high efficiency hydraulics package. TH models come with 74hp Deutz engines as standard and 107-hp Deutz engines as options on the SJ1044 TH and SJ1056 TH. The TCD 2.9L 74hp engine provides 221 foot pounds of torque and 18,000 pounds of tractive effort on the SJ643 TH and SJ843 TH, while the 74hp TCD 3.6L provides 287 foot pounds of torque and 20,000 pounds of tractive effort on the SJ1044 TH and SJ1056 TH. The TH range also features READYHOOK, a yoke-mounted lifting hook fitted as standard that allows the safe under-slinging of loads and avoids the practice of using the forks as an under-slung lifting device.
