CS Unitec’s END 1550 P wet diamond core drill creates holes from ¼ inch to 2 5/8 inches diameter without shock, dust or vibration, the maker says. Weighing only seven pounds, it drills anchor holes up to 1 3/16-inch diameter in reinforced concrete. The 13 Amp variable-speed motor with overheat protection operates with a load speed of 1,800 to 4,400 RPM. The END 1550 P features an integrated water supply with flow control and a stainless steel spindle for corrosion-free wet operation. A swivel anchor stand, centering aid and water recycling system are optional.
The FFC Cold Planer by Paladin Attachments attaches to skid-steer loaders to mill concrete surfaces. Standard flow models are available in 12- and 16-inch cutting widths to operate with hydraulic flows of 13 to 16 gpm. High-flow models are available in cutting widths from 16 to 36 inches and operate with flows from 24 to 45 gpm. The controls can be adapted to the loader joystick electric controls, or in-cab fingertip controls can operate side shift, tilt and cutting depth on high flow models.
MBW introduces a heavyweight high-speed trowel for finishing of concrete. Model 465199 is a 46-inch diameter machine powered by a GX390 Honda engine factory set to 3,400 engine RPM. The machine weighs 275 pounds and offers a rotor speed range of 35 to 180 rpm. It features adjustable handles for greater leverage, enhanced operator comfort and to absorb trowel torque. Each MBW trowel is balanced with regard to engine location for better performance and reduced operator fatigue. MBW offers 24-, 36- and 46-inch trowels.
Wacker Neuson presents its line of walk-behind trowels, which includes 11 models including edging, standard, high-horsepower and variable-speed units. Wacker Neuson’s CT walk-behind line (except edging model) offers a design built to provide extra protection from an out-of-control spinning handle. When the operator lets go of the handle, a gyroscopic safety sensor detects the motion of the handle and stops the engine before the handle reaches a 45-degree rotation. This engages the gearbox brake which will stop the handle rotation within a 270-degree rotation. The models come standard with a Honda or Wacker Neuson engine.
This month RER focuses on concrete equipment from manufacturers including CS Unitec, Paladin, and MBW.
