Allied Construction Products LLC has introduced three rammer small range breakers, the 555, 777 and 999. The breakers eliminate tie rods and incorporate Allied’s Constant Blow Energy plus operating system. An integrated one-piece tool bushing design includes the thrust ring, upper bushing, lower bushing and dust seal requiring fewer parts. The one-piece bushing is designed for easy field replacement. A swivel-type hose connection block is designed to accommodate left or right hand hose connections. Vibration dampening prevents carrier damage and improves operator comfort.
The ES 60, ES 70 and ES 80 breakers have a narrow design to promote good visibility and handling on worksites. The narrow profile enables operators to cut narrow and precise trenches for plumbing installation applications without removing excess soil to accommodate the breaker’s size. Solid body construction combines percussion and mounting components in one uniform structure, eliminating the need for external fasteners and facilitating maintenance. A central lubrication point simplifies greasing. The breakers also feature full-length floating bushings to ensure grease fully coats bushings and tool steel to minimize wear.
The Bobcat drop hammer attachment allows a compact loader to perform flatwork demolition. Because the operator keeps the loader constantly moving — pausing momentarily to let the hammer drop to demolish the surface below — large amounts of flatwork can be broken much faster than traditional hydraulic or pneumatic breakers, says the OEM. At a rate of up to 20 blows-per-minute, the drop hammer allows the operator three seconds to reposition the loader in-between each cycle. A cushioned safety valve enables the operator to stop the hammer in mid-stroke and slowly lower it to a resting position, giving the operator more control over when to drop the weight and ensuring the attachment will not simply fall if hydraulic flow is shut off.
The upgraded electric Brokk 400 remote-controlled demolition machine includes a larger undercarriage for heavy-tracking applications such as tunneling and mining and for enhanced stability when operating with heavier attachments like metal shears and scabblers. An improved hydraulic system is designed to provide more efficient fluid flow for more consistent power when the machine is operating a drill attachment. Other upgrades include a bigger drive axis, rollers and sidetracks. It also has a larger undercarriage with new tracks that are 10 percent longer than the original’s. It can handle attachments up to 1,420 pounds, and its hydraulic quick-hitch system eliminates the need for hard pinning, simplifying attachment changes.
Designed for heavy industrial demolition, building renovation, road construction, rock excavation, trenching, mine and quarry applications, the RX 30 and RX 38 breakers feature hybrid gas/oil technology and fewer moving parts for a lower maintenance hydraulic breaker. Also incorporated in the RX line of rig-mounted hydraulic breakers are noise and vibration dampening technology and a highly efficient internal control valve.
The Hilti TE 1000-AVR Breaker features HiDrive technology which helps deliver 19 foot-pounds of impact energy. It includes a detachable supply cord and a three-chamber sealing principle. The SR motor is designed to ensure stable performance with power fluctuations from generators or extension cords and also features a power reduction switch for up to 30% less impact for precision work. The breaker can be paired with a wave chisel TE-SP that produces up to a 30% increase in speed during concrete demolition by reducing friction between the chisel body and base material, leaving a wider opening for fast debris removal, increasing breaking power while reducing the likelihood of sticking or breaking.
Designed for use with skid-steer loaders, backhoe loaders and excavators weighing between 2,200 and 30,850 pounds, Montabert SC-Series hydraulic breakers are designed to provide operators with consistent machine-to-breaker performance, matching the hydraulic capabilities of a carrier to a specific breaker model. Montabert offers eight SC-Series hydraulic breaker models ranging in size from 198 to 1,098 pounds. The light-range breakers deliver between 1,137 and 1,700 blows per minute and feature few wear parts, enabling operators to efficiently complete routine maintenance on the job site.
