Caterpillar introduced its Cat Rental Store concept in China last week at ConExpo Asia 2006 in Beijing. Caterpillar opened 12 new Cat Rental Stores in China this year and plans to double the number by the end of 2006, according to Rod Beeler, Caterpillar vice president for Asia Pacific Marketing.
Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar, the world’s largest manufacturer of construction equipment, has 13 facilities in China, and began selling products there in 1975.
