Genie Lift Pro Online Operator Training Program Now Available in Spanish

Oct. 23, 2013

Terex Aerial Work Platforms, a business segment of Terex Corp., this week introduced the Genie Lift Pro online-based aerial work platform training program in Spanish. The program, originally launched in English at The Rental Show in February, has now been translated into the most common Spanish dialect for North America.

The program has been translated in its entirety including screen elements, video narrations, closed captions, quizzes as well as the hosted learning management system. Additionally, all of the online training supporting documents have been translated, such as the instructions on how to register students, reports and tracking progress.

“While talking to customers about Genie Lift Pro, we realized there was a massive demand for a Spanish version in places like Mexico, California, Texas and Arizona,” said Scott Owyen, global training manager, Terex AWP. “With so many Spanish-speaking operators in the Southwest, we felt it was important to reach these end users and train them to safely operate aerial equipment in their language.”

Upon completion of the online training program and subsequent hands-on training in front of a qualified person, end users will have met the requirements to become a qualified AWP operator, in accordance with American National Standards Institute, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Canadian Standards Association standards.

The Genie Lift Pro online training program is available through authorized Genie Lift Pro Training Centers throughout North America and is applicable for most brands, makes and models of aerial work platforms.
