Dr. Ulrich Wacker has stepped down from his position on the supervisory board of Wacker Neuson because of health reasons, the company said this week. Wacker, who led Wacker Corp. for more than 30 years, represented the fifth generation of the Wacker family with the company.

“It was an honor for us all to work with him,” said Richard Mayer, spokesman for the Wacker Neuson executive board. “Dr. Wacker was at the head of the company for over 30 years. He was a primary driving force behind the expansion of the group and its brand, building a platform for our continued success.”

The group intends to submit an application for the judicial appointment of Dr. Mattias Bruse, an attorney. Bruse knows the company very well and served as a member of the supervisory board before the merger, Mayer said.
