Waukesha, Wis.-based Up-N-Atom’s Retriever truck bed won Best Overall/First Place in the 2006 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Access Platforms Awards. The award honors the year’s best new products in the crane, aerial lift and material-handling fields.

The 15-ton truck bed was designed to haul construction equipment and has a low-profile curved and hinged deck that allows equipment to be driven onboard with minimal risk of tipping or operator injury. The Retriever can also be fitted to almost any truck chassis, standard or low profile, new or used.

Judges for the award included 11 experts in cranes, aerial lifts, material handling, equipment rental, sales, safety and consulting fields, plus Lift and Access magazine editors.
