Terex Corp. Names Jacob Thomas President of Terex Latin America

Terex Corp. named Jacob Thomas president for Terex Latin America. Thomas had been serving as senior vice president for product development and marketing.

Terex Corp. named Jacob Thomas president for Terex Latin America. Thomas had been serving as senior vice president for product development and marketing.

Previously based in Westport, Conn., Thomas will relocate to Sao Paulo, Brazil. He will report to Steve Filipov, Terex president for developing markets and strategic accounts. Thomas will also spend time at Terex’s manufacturing facility in Guaiba, Brazil, currently under construction.

Terex Latin America hopes to capitalize on increasing demand in the region for off-highway trucks and cranes, with a target of $1 billion in sales by 2015. It plans to focus on support and infrastructure services.
