Terex Aerial Work Platforms, a business segment of Terex Corp., last week announced the opening of the new Terex Service Center in Stockton, Calif. The new center consolidates the Modesto, Calif., Refurbishment Center and the Sacramento, Calif., Service Center to create a new, high-capacity facility offering the latest customer service processes and technology. The new facility will service all makes and models of aerial, utility and construction equipment for Western region customers.

The 90,000-square-foot facility is a full-service location providing refurbishment and reconditioning of aerial equipment, installation and transfers of utility equipment and full repair services for construction equipment. The center offers advanced capabilities including a large paint booth, a small paint booth and a sponge blast booth. The large capacity of the new center provides customers with more services in a single location, decreasing equipment downtime and getting customers back in the field as quickly as possible.

“The new facility provides improved access to maintenance, refurbishment and warranty services for our customers across the Western region,” said Siva Balakrishnan, vice president and general manager of Global Services, Terex AWP. “The new center combines the strengths of the previous locations with the latest advancements in customer services. This is part of our continued focus on providing value added solutions with the usage of the latest manufacturing processes and techniques.”

There are 16 Terex Service Centers and more than 200 field and service technicians located throughout the United States equipped to provide maintenance repair and reconditioning services for various makes and models of aerials, cranes, telehandlers, utility equipment, winches, service bodies and portable lighting. Additional offerings include frequent and annual inspection services; maintenance contracts; warranty and service bulletin work; damage and routine repairs; and insurance estimates.

The company also announced last week that its U.S.-based network of Service Centers, which were previously committed to serving Genie and Terex utility equipment, now offers support and service for Terex construction equipment. These locations, rebranded as Terex Service Centers, will provide the same service that earned a reputation of leadership, the company said.

Terex construction equipment owners who were previously distant from dealer service locations now have access to 16 Terex Service Centers. While those receiving regular support from their local dealer locations can continue to do so.

“Terex Service Centers are a key part of the network offered by our company,” said Balakrishnan. “By expanding offerings across our product lines, we can provide even better support to our customers and continuously improve upon success.”

“Terex Construction customers will see added benefits from these new locations,” said James Robbins, vice president and general manager, Terex Construction Americas. “The increase in available service facilities will strengthen our existing support network, helping to reduce equipment downtime and putting workers back on the jobsite more quickly than ever before.”

Terex service centers are located in: Seattle, and Spokane, Wash.; Fontana, and Stockton, Calif.; Phoenix; Denver; San Antonio, Waco, and Fort Worth, Texas; Portland, Ore.; Nashville, Tenn.; Birmingham, Ala.; North Little Rock, Ark.; Richmond, Va.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; and Charlotte, N.C.
