Carol Stream, Ill.-based New Holland and Kobelco Construction last week pulled out of the World of Concrete 2009 trade show.

“The decision to cancel our participation at this year’s World of Concrete is based on the current economic environment as we prepare to face a year of new challenges,” said Edgar Chavez, director of marketing. “We expect to see consolidation among trade shows in the industry in order to give manufacturers and customers more flexibility. During these challenging times, New Holland and Kobelco Construction are concentrating their resources and full attention on continued, superior customer service and supporting our dealer network.

“Moving forward, we will closely monitor the economic situation and evaluate our further involvement in trade shows in 2009 keeping the best interest of our customers in mind.”
