Komatsu Equipment Co. has joined the Puradyn Filter Technologies distributor network in Nevada, Wyoming and Utah. Use of Puradyn bypass oil filtration systems will allow users to double the interval between oil drains, extending the current standard oil drains from 500 to 250 hours, Puradyn said.

Komatsu Equipment Co. is the exclusive distributor for Komatsu mining and construction equipment in Utah, Nevada and parts of Wyoming with seven locations offering new, used and rental equipment with sizes ranging from mini-excavators to mine haul trucks.

Puradyn will work with KEC to begin a retrofit program, supplying systems ranging from the mid-sized PFT24, commonly used on backhoe loaders to the largest model used on mining and oilfield construction equipment.

Kevin Kroger, president and chief operating officer of Puradyn said the technology will extend drain intervals, reducing KEC’s use of engine and hydraulic oil, waste oil disposal and all oil-related maintenance costs.
