Komatsu America Names New President And COO

Rolling Meadows, Ill.-based Komatsu America Corp. last week announced the appointment of Hisashi "Jim" Shinozuka as president and chief operating officer, responsible for all North American mining, construction and compact equipment operations. Shinozuka was previously general manager, Americas and European business divisions at the global headquarters office of Komatsu Ltd.

Shinozuka was previously general manager, Americas and European business divisions at the global headquarters office of Komatsu Ltd.

Shinozuka began his career with Komatsu in 1978 and has held positions of increasing responsibility including liaison general manager for Komatsu's branch office in Istanbul, Turkey, and executive vice president, Komatsu Latin America Corp. in Miami.

Komatsu America Corp. is a U.S. subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd., which claims to be the world's second-largest manufacturer and supplier of construction, mining and compact construction equipment.
