Carol Stream, Ill.-based Kobelco last week announced that its SK350LC ACERA Mark 8 hydraulic excavator was named as one of the Top 100 Products of 2008 by Construction Equipment magazine in recognition of the machine’s productivity, control and operator comfort.

“It is the machine’s excellent productivity on the jobsite that sets it apart,” said Edgar Chavez, director of marketing for Kobelco Construction Machinery America. “Most notably, the SK350LC convinces due to the capability to move an impressive 18-percent more material per gallon of fuel than its predecessor, the SK330LC, which translates not only into increased fuel efficiency but delivers more work per gallon.”

Every year Construction Equipment editors recognize the most significant new product announcements with the Top 100 Products Awards. The program serves to emphasize innovations and to highlight manufacturers who are investing in research and development for greater productivity, efficiencies and safety. The SK350LC was selected to the Top 100 among about 700 candidates.

Kobelco Construction Machinery America manufactures and markets a full line of compact, mid-size and full-size excavators ranging from 1.9 to 88 tons.
