MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — JLG Industries announced the reopening of its 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bedford, Pa. This facility will consolidate all manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering and administrative functions of the company's Commercial Solutions Group that focuses on the commercial and industrial markets' channels for access equipment. The company also announced plans to construct a new 35,000-square-foot R&D facility in McConnellsburg to further enhance the development of new and improved products and accessories.

“The CSG is a key element to diversifying our channels to market, one of our principal strategic goals,” said Bill Lasky, chairman of the board, president and CEO. “And, with our new R&D facility, we will continue our legacy of product innovation and development. These investments in additional capacity and the associated reconfigurations at our existing facilities will increase our overall manufacturing capacity, further optimize our facility utilization and position us to more effectively satisfy rising customer demand.”

In personnel news, Kimberly Hendricks joined JLG as vice president, finance, reporting to Jim Woodward, executive vice president and chief financial officer. She will oversee external financial reporting, tax and compliance, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, and internal audit.

“As we pursue our five-year strategic plan and continue to grow the business, Kim brings additional expertise and perspective to JLG,” Woodward said. “With her broad range of experience, she will be a key member of our financial team and will also have significant input into decisions involving our capital structure, banking relationships, equipment finance and corporate development.” Since 1999, Hendricks was based in New York City with Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., most recently as vice president of finance - corporate development.
