McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — JLG Industries last month announced the hiring of former Home Depot Rentals chief Joe Dixon as president of JLG Service Plus, a JLG subsidiary providing repair and maintenance, reconditioning and training on all JLG-manufactured products.

Service Plus has locations in Houston and McConnellsburg, Pa., and plans additional sites in the future.

“In his new role, Joe will oversee the role played by Service Plus operations in our strategy to expand our after-market business,” said Craig Paylor, senior vice president North America sales, marketing and customer support. “His experience in the equipment rental industry will enhance our focus on providing quality products and outstanding service that satisfy customer needs.”

Dixon, who will report to Paylor, served for three years as vice president, pro business and equipment rental for Home Depot and played a major role in Home Depot's expansion of its rental program. Before joining Home Depot, Dixon worked for Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. for 14 years in a variety of leadership positions, ultimately becoming the division vice president of operations and sales. Dixon holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Georgia.

Based in McConnellsburg, JLG is the world's leading producer of access equipment (aerial work platforms and telehandlers) and highway-speed telescopic excavators. JLG has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Belgium and France, with sales and service operations on six continents.
