ECHO Bear Cat recently announced it has met the required guidelines to attain certification on the manufacture of its outdoor power equipment by the National Association of Trailer Manufactures.

“ECHO Bear Cat continuously strives to design machines that fit the ever changing needs of the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry and its consumers,” said Dale Winkelman, ECHO Bear Cat director. “The towing safety of our products is just as important as the cutting edge construction and quality design we employ into our entire line of products. The NATM certification assures our customers that they are purchasing one of the best built and safest products in the industry.”

To receive certification, NATM members must pass a stringent audit verifying that they build quality trailers meeting Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. These standards cover certification labels, tires & wheels, brake components, lighting, reflectors, under ride protection and cargo payload issues. In addition, NATM-certified trailers meet and exceed accepted industry manufacturing standards and practices covering safety chains, couplers, electrical components, warning labels and consumer information.

NATM was founded in 1987 to represent manufacturers that produce light- and medium-duty trailers. The association is organized to promote a universal recognition of safety and quality in the trailer manufacturing industry.

Located in West Fargo, N.D., ECHO Bear Cat is a product line of Crary Industries. ECHO Bear Cat manufactures outdoor power equipment and service parts.
