Dressta North America last week announced the planned opening of a parts distribution center to serve distributors throughout the Americas. The facility will be centrally located in the Chicago area, the company said, and is expected to be operational by January 2007.

The new parts distribution center will use “the latest” parts management systems, including online ordering, barcoding, order tracking and electronic parts catalogs, the company said.

The company also announced the appointment of Rick Jilek, a 38-year construction industry veteran who has specialized in parts operation, as vice president North American Parts Operations.

“Our new facility will operate at the highest levels of performance with a strong focus on customer support,” said Kilek.

Dressta North America, a subsidiary of Dressta Co., is based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., and markets crawler dozers, wheel loaders and crawler loaders.
