Deutz AG last week announced it will merge its three current sales regions with its service and back-office sales management functions to form one unit with global responsibility. The new unit will be headed by Robert Mann who will be based in Cologne, Germany.

Mann is a qualified mechanical engineer and has worked for Deutz in the United States for 16 years. For the past nine years, he has been head of its U.S. subsidiary, Deutz Corp., in Atlanta, where he was responsible for sales in the North, Central and South America region. In his new function he will report directly to Dr. Helmut Leube, chairman of the Deutz board of management.

The head of the Asia region, Alexander Städtler, still reports directly to Leube.

Mann’s successor as president of Deutz Corp. is Christian Krupp, currently its chief financial officer. Deutz AG’s previous head of sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region was Thorsten van der Tuuk, who left the company at the end of May.
