Doosan Infracore Portable Power Names Sweet President

Doosan Infracore Portable Power last week named Shawn Sweet president, replacing Larry Silber who recently resigned. Sweet will be responsible for all aspects of global business for DIPP. The appointment was made by Doosan Infracore International CEO David Rowles.

Doosan Infracore Portable Power last week named Shawn Sweet president, replacing Larry Silber who recently resigned. Sweet will be responsible for all aspects of global business for DIPP. The appointment was made by Doosan Infracore International CEO David Rowles.

“Shawn brings a tremendous background and knowledge of Doosan Infracore Portable Power’s customers, distribution, products and industry to the role,” said Rowles. “I believe he will have an immediate positive impact on the business.”

Sweet joined DIPP as vice president of global marketing in January. He began his career 17 years ago with Ingersoll Rand – Canada and held sales, marketing, product management, operations and sales management roles in the organization. He also was Ingersoll Rand Construction Technologies vice president of sales for North America, and, before that, was regional vice president of Ingersoll Rand Equipment and Services.

Sweet joined Volvo Construction Equipment in 2007 when Volvo acquired the IR Road Development business and held various roles for Volvo until he joined Doosan this year.
