John Deere

John Deere introduces the 313 and 315 models of skid-steer loaders that feature rated operating capacities of 1,300 and 1,500 pounds. The units feature 45-hp engines that are certified to EPA Interim Tier-4 emissions levels, as well as electronic controls for idle stability, cold-start performance and transient response. A key feature of the 313 and 315 is the radial lift boom. The bucket rests close to the machine when in the down position and swings forward for improved reach in the 4- to 5-foot range. Cushioned bucket and lift cylinders provide smooth deceleration at the end of the boom lower position, also cushioning the bucket when curling and dumping a load.

Mustang

Mustang introduces the 2700V skid-steer loader that features a Yanmar Tier-3, 84-hp turbocharged diesel engine. The vertical-lift boom offers enhanced stability and more than 130 inches of lift height and provides considerable forward reach at trailer loading and dumping heights. The unit features a rated operating capacity of 2,700 pounds. An extra-long wheelbase and new chassis design enhance stability and provide improved weight distribution. The electronic control and foot throttle allow operation at partial throttle, reducing sound levels and fuel consumption.

Terex

The PT-50 compact track loader uses Terex ASV's patented Posi-Track suspended undercarriage technology that maximizes traction and flotation while giving operators a comfortable ride. The machine's 6,200-pound operating weight is distributed down to 3.5 pounds per square inch of ground pressure. The naturally aspired 50-hp diesel engine provides smooth and reliable power, according to the company. The unit also features pilot-operated joystick controls and a load-sensing hydraulic system that helps prevent engine stalls.

Vermeer

The S400TX skid steer from Vermeer is powered by a 23-hp Kohler air-cooled engine that offers 15-percent more horsepower. The S400TX track undercarriage features a high-mount sprocket track-drive with a standard 7-inch rubber track that produces 3.8 psi ground pressure. A 9-inch track option is also available. At 76.5 inches long, 34.5 inches wide and 1,950 pounds, the unit can maneuver into tight spaces and weight-sensitive areas. The unit also features a hydraulic flow rate of 11.5 gpm, a rated operating capacity of 500 pounds and a maximum lifting height of 69 inches. The curved loader arms offer improved reach as the boom lifts out and up, providing more clearance to reach over truck sides.
