Heerbrugg, Switzerland-based Leica Geosystems last week announced it will conduct its PowerGrade Challenge for the first time for attendees of ConExpo. The ccmpany describes the challenge as a realistic, simulated environment designed to demonstrate the power and possibilities of today’s most advanced construction solutions.

“We’re changing the face of show floor exhibits, bringing the construction site to the fingertips of the industry,” said Rich Calvird, product marketing manager for Leica Geosystems. “Through this interactive jobsite experience, attendees can evaluate and compare productivity benefits by actually performing simulated jobsite activities with both conventional manual and automated methods. This is a truly exciting first look into equipment and technology demonstrations of the future.”

ConExpo-Con/Agg attendees can take the PowerGrade Challenge at Leica Geosystems’ booths S-16805 and S-17105 March 11-15 in Las Vegas. The daily winner of the PowerGrade Challenge will receive a Leica PowerBlade 2D indicate machine control system valued at $4,000 or credit towards a Leica 2D PowerSnap system.
