Toro
The Toro line of trencher attachments for Dingo compact utility loaders includes two unique models designed to deliver peak performance in every soil condition. The high-speed trencher delivers an auger speed of 187 rpm at 11 gpm and 422 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 psi for efficient trenching in soft to medium soil conditions. Producing an auger speed of 120 rpm at 11 gpm and 675 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 psi, the Toro high-torque trencher features a heavy-duty drive system that enhances performance in any soil condition, from clay to rock. Both trencher attachments fit most compact utility loaders and work for projects such as irrigation, tree planting and edging applications.

Bobcat
The new Bobcat LT414 trencher attachment models feature a 4- or 5-foot dig depth and are approved for operation on various Bobcat compact loaders with high-flow hydraulic systems. The hydraulic flow capability of the trencher motor will accept flow ranging from 26 to 40 gpm to accommodate loaders with auxiliary hydraulic flow up to 37 gpm. The LT414 is designed for medium- to high-production trenching applications such as utility installation projects. Hydraulic side-shift comes standard for productivity in ground conditions ranging from black dirt to gravel. The side-shift feature also provides the operator flexibility when working next to buildings.

John Deere
John Deere offers five different trencher models — two lengths with standard-flow hydraulics and three lengths with high-flow hydraulics. A heavy-duty direct-drive system eliminates the need for an unreliable chain reduction. Each trencher features a skid shoe to ensure proper auger depth control and an exclusive 60-degree angle indicator for proper digging angle. Manual side shift allows trenching close to structures. A replaceable spoil auger moves most spoil to one side of the trench. A heavy-duty crumber shoe comes standard for loose soil removal.

Ground Hog
Ground Hog’s T-4 operator-propelled chain-type trencher is designed to dig up to a 12-inch deep by 3-inch wide trench. For digging in all soil conditions, operators have a choice of carbide-tipped shark or bullet teeth. Conversions for depths up to 12 inches by 4 inches wide or 18 inches deep by 3 inches wide are also available. The T-4’s user friendly, compact design fits through narrow gates and doorways and easily trenches near walls and fences. Its heavy-gauge steel construction, tapered roller bearings and double-row ball bearings ensure less maintenance.

Little Beaver
The Kwik-Trench earth saw from Little Beaver features a simple, push-forward design that meets the shallow trenching needs of rental centers, contractors and golf course superintendents for applications such as residential lawn sprinkler systems, electronic dog fencing, low-voltage wiring, plumbing and drainage lines and more. The mini-trencher’s compact size allows operators to get into areas inaccessible to full-size trenchers. With cutting speeds of up to 30 feet per minute, the Kwik-Trench is also designed to cut backfill time by making clean, narrow trenches and depositing the spoil net to the trench.

Caterpillar
The T6B trencher from Caterpillar has a 36-inch boom for applications that don’t require the greater digging depth of other Cat trenchers. The T6B is designed to work with standard flow hydraulics. The direct-drive motor provides a balance of chain speed, torque and chain pull for maximum productivity in a variety of soil types. Cutting widths offered by the adjustable boom are 6, 8, 10 and 12 inches. The T6B offers optional manual or hydraulic side shift for close trenching near structures. Maximum side shift is 22 inches to the right of center. A large, adjustable auger handles spoil removal, and an optional, bolt-on crumber bar guides loose spoil away from the trench. Two optional skid shoes can aid in cleaning the trench.
