Two new Volvo Rents centers opened last week, company officials said. T. Gay Investments, franchise owner of a Volvo Rents center in Americus, Ga., opened a branch in Columbus, Ga. And Valley Rental Centers, Merced, Calif., opened the first of several planned Volvo Rents facilities in California.

Volvo Rents now has more than 20 independently owned franchise rental locations.

Home Depot Launches Landscape Supply Stores in Texas
Atlanta-based Home Depot announced last week that it has selected Texas as the first expansion state for its new Home Depot Landscape Supply stores. The company said it will open several of the new concept stores in Texas this year, beginning this week in Arlington, and Dallas, Grapevine, Lewisville and Plano this spring.

“Texans take great pride in their homes and property,” said Todd Williams, president, Home Depot Landscape Supply. “We can offer them the next generation landscaping products, supplies and services.”

The stores each will have heated/cooled space of about 12,000 square feet, including tool rental departments and covered greenhouses.

Home Depot now has tool rental departments in about 585 stores.
