Rental Service Corp. had a slight rental volume decrease in 2002, Atlas Copco CEO Gunnar Brock said during the Stockholm-based companies fourth-quarter conference call last week.

While there was no improvement in market demand for the rental service business area, Brock said the company realized a slight increase in same-store growth. Full-year 2002 revenues were down 7 percent for Atlas Copco as a whole, Brock said.

Overall, demand for Atlas Copco’s products and services is expected to remain unchanged during the coming quarter, but the political situation in the Middle East has increased uncertainty.
