Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers recently completed its biggest auction of 2003 at its permanent auction site in Moerdijk, Netherlands. The unreserved auction Dec. 3-5 generated gross auction sales of about $47 million. Consignments from European customers accounted for 95 percent of the equipment and trucks in the auction, which drew more than 1,700 bidders from 65 countries, including more than 130 Internet bidders. Ritchie also held a successful auction in Paris, Calif., with gross auction sales of more than $20 million.

This week Ritchie will hold end its 2003 auction schedule with auctions in Phoenix, Denver, North East, Md., Ocala, Fla.; Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Toronto and Prince George, B.C.
