CINCINNATI — Volvo Construction Equipment continued to grow its rental program by recently adding new rental facilities in Ohio, Florida and Tennessee.

Contractors Equipment Rentals, Orlando, Fla., opened a Volvo Rents branch in Melbourne, its second location. Contractors opened its first branch in Orlando earlier this year.

Homeowners Rentals, Chattanooga, Tenn., opened its second Volvo Rents equipment rental facility in Chattanooga last month. The new rental center is the second independently owned and operated rental franchise under the Volvo name for Homeowners Rentals; the first center was opened in late April of this year.

And Volvo Construction Equipment Rents has signed a rental franchise agreement with WDB Rental, Cincinnati. WDB, an independently owned and operated rental company, will open rental centers under the Volvo name in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The first WDB Rental Volvo rental center will open in Hamilton, Ohio, in the near future.

Volvo began its rental initiative in 2001 as part of a major new strategy for the distribution of its extensive range of compact construction equipment. The first Volvo rental centers opened early in 2002 in Louisiana, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. The Volvo Rents rental centers carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial, and homeowner markets.
