United Opens New Hampshire, Arizona Aerial Branches

GREENWICH, Conn. United Rentals, the rental industry's largest company, announced the grand opening of an aerial equipment branch in West Lebanon, N.H.

GREENWICH, Conn. — United Rentals, the rental industry's largest company, announced the grand opening of an aerial equipment branch in West Lebanon, N.H. The new 6,500-square-foot facility will provide customers in northern New Hampshire and Vermont with equipment rentals, new and used equipment sales, repair and maintenance services and a comprehensive line of contractor supplies.

“By expanding our presence in New Hampshire, we can better serve our customers in Vermont as well,” said Scott Drouin, branch manager. “We now have a substantial fleet of rental equipment centrally located on the Vermont/New Hampshire border. Our new location is convenient for contractors in the greater part of both states.”

The company also opened an aerial equipment branch in Tempe, Ariz.

“We expect to coordinate closely with other United Rentals branches in making equipment of all types available to our customers,” said branch manager Rob Ryan. “Maricopa County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States in non-residential construction.”

The new locations will rent aerial work platforms, forklifts, scaffolding and related equipment for commercial and industrial construction. It will also offer professional training and maintenance services and offer contractor supplies.

United CEO Wayland Hicks recently told RER the company expects to open 30 to 35 start-up branches in 2005.

Greenwich, Conn.-based United Rentals is No. 1 on the RER 100, with more than 730 locations in 47 states, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
