PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Thompson Pump recently opened a new branch in Pocomoke City, Md. The new branch will provide support for sales activities, operate a full rental fleet of pumps and accessories, stock spare parts and perform pump maintenance and service. The store has easy access to major highways and will serve construction, public works, and industrial pump users through Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The branch is staffed by salesperson Wayne Bowman, a pump industry veteran; Kenny Midgett, field service technician and driver/service technician James Maxey Jr.

Thompson Pump manufactures wet and dry prime trash pumps, hydraulic submersible pumps, wellpoint pumps, high-pressure pumps, galvanized pipe, HDPE pipe, fittings and hundreds of other pumping items. In addition to sales to distributors and end users, Thompson Pump is a high-end rental specialist, No. 43 on the RER 100, based on about $25 million in 2003 rental revenue. Based in Port Orange, Fla., Thompson Pump has 18 U.S. locations.
