ABS Pumps Acquires CH&E ABS Pumps has acquired Milwaukee-based pump manufacturer CH&E Mfg., expanding its reach into the construction rental segment. Terms of the transaction, completed Jan. 4, were not disclosed.

CH&E, founded in 1908, makes engine-driven centrifugal and diaphragm pumps, ranging from 3.5- to 50 horsepower and 2- to 6-inch discharge capacities. The line will continue to be produced at CH&E's Milwaukee facility, according to ABS, which also manufactures mixers and aerators for the water and wastewater process industries.

ABS Pumps, Meriden, Conn., is a subsidiary of Sweden-based Cardo Group, a publicly traded engineering company with about $1 billion in annual revenue.

Elliott Unveils 24-Hour Hotline Lift manufacturer Elliott Equipment Co., Omaha, Neb., has unveiled a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week emergency service hotline for its customers. The toll-free line will be staffed by factory technicians to handle calls at any hour of the day or night.

"Our customers do not just work from 9 to 5," said Elliott Equipment CEO Richard Glazer. "They already value the accessibility of our technical people. This service makes these people more accessible than ever before."

In addition to aerial work platforms with working heights from 32 to 158 feet, Elliott Equipment also manufactures concrete pumping trucks and cranes.
