South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford made a visit to JCB North American Headquarters in Savannah, Ga., recently to see the manufacturing of JCB backhoe loaders at the Georgia facility, located off I-95 just south of the state line.

While visiting JCB, Governor Sanford took some time to take the controls of a new generation JS220 excavator.

“JCB's expansion is a big part of our ongoing efforts to raise income levels and improve quality of life here in South Carolina's Low Country,” Gov. Sanford said. “We're going to continue to push for job-creating reforms like income tax relief that will encourage other companies to follow JCB's example in becoming successful contributors to the larger economic development mission of our state.”
