Shark Pressure Washers

Shark Pressure Washers has rolled out a series of self-contained, gasoline-powered hot water pressure washers designed for on-site cleaning. The four models of the SGP-XL series deliver cleaning power of 3 to 3.5 gpm and 3,000 to 3,500 psi of pressure. All models have Honda engines ranging from 9 to 13 hp with two models featuring electric start. Other features include high-efficiency 12-volt DC burner with oil-water separator in the fuel line, a spring-loaded, insulated trigger gun with insulated, variable pressure wand, and an adjustable thermostat and hour meter.

Mark Harbaugh, purchasing agent for Knickerbocker Russell, a construction equipment rental company and dealer in Pittsburgh, says he uses Shark hot water pressure washers to clean grease off of heavy equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders and water pumps. “They work great,” Harbaugh says. “We've had the line for about five years. They seem to hold up.”

HydraMotion Cleaning Systems

HydraMotion's new SideWinder Model 105 flat surface cleaning accessory can be used with both hot and cold pressure washers. It is designed to cut cleaning time and water usage for pressure washing roofs, decks, sidewalks and other paved surfaces. The SideWinder is built for the heavy-duty use of the industrial contractor, but is easy enough for a homeowner for the weekend. Increased rear shaft hardness and the addition of LP seals throughout extend swivel life and reduce downtime for repair and maintenance. Contractors and rental operators can choose foldable and/or rigid handles as needed. A fluted cover design creates a focused spray pattern at the external radius of the spray bar arc to improve cleaning and eliminate striping.

Pressure-Pro

The Eagle 3-V belt drive pressure washers from Pressure-Pro feature triplex plunger pumps by AR, Cat or General Pump. The reliability of redundant belts places less stress on crankshafts and helps extend pump life. As a result of reduced pump rpm, less friction is created when compared to a typical direct drive washer. With an extended service life, minimum service and preventive maintenance is required. Eagle belt drive units feature adjustable pressure up to 4,000 psi with EZ start and thermal pump protection. The lightweight aluminum frame is rustproof and chemical resistant with a lifetime warranty.

Vincent Canamella, president/owner of VC Equipment, rents, sells and repairs paint sprayers and pressure washers. He's also used the Pressure-Pro for general cleaning applications, such as cleaning his own house. “The 3-belt system is definitely the longest lasting pressure washer we've tried,” he says. He also says the sight glass on the side makes it very easy to check the oil level.
