Shark Pressure Washers

Shark Pressure Washers' new line of extra-heavy-duty cold-water pressure washers is designed for rugged applications. The BR series features seven models with cleaning power ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 psi and 3.5 to 4.5 gpm. All BR models come with a totally enclosed, OSHA-compliant, high-impact polyethylene belt guard for operator safety, as well as a variable pressure wand for altering the pressure with a simple twist of the handle. The series also features heavy-duty steel bases with 1.25-inch tube roll cage and 13-inch tubed pneumatic tires for maneuvering in all terrain. The models in the series have a compact design for ease in transporting.

Ron Roy, president of Ron's Ace Rental in Rock Springs, Wyo., uses, rents and sells the Shark Pressure Washers' BR series. He uses the pressure washers to wash equipment at his rental center. “It's a well-built machine,” he says. “In the last four years we've probably bought, sold and rented 24-plus machines.”

Pressure-Pro

The new Super Skid models from Pressure-Pro feature a horizontal design that gives a lower, space-saving profile, allowing its use in environments where overhead clearance can be a problem. These units can be configured to flow up to 8 gpm with pressures up to 4,000 psi. Each machine is designed to provide easy access for servicing and is built with a stainless steel coil wrap and stainless instrument panel. The powder-coated frame is constructed with an integral, heavy-duty roll cage and is outfitted with an oversize 12-gallon fuel tank and standard Honda or Robin-Subaru motors.

Blake Freeman, vice president of B & L Contract Cleaning in Kissimmee, Fla., uses the Super Skid models to clean commercial buildings in the Orlando area. He says that other models of pressure washers he's used weren't bad — until he tried something else. “These are awesome,” Freeman says. “I've seen a huge difference. Jobs that were taking four hours, the guys are now doing in two to two-and-a-half hours.”

Water Cannon

A new line of mobile hot water pressure washers from Water Cannon are completely self-contained and turn-key. No outside power source is required — the user hooks up the hose and is ready to go. The pressure washers feature a complete roll cage to protect parts and allow for total mobility. A Honda 20-amp charging system ensures hours of continuous duty and acts as the power source for all of the hot water mechanisms such as fuel pump, blower fan, solenoid, safety switch and the starter. This 4,500-psi machine also features on-board diesel fuel storage.

HydraMotion Cleaning Systems

HydraMotion Cleaning Systems' newest flat surface cleaning accessory, the SideWinder model 105, can be used with both hot and cold pressure washers for pressure washing roofs, decks, sidewalks and other paved surfaces. The SideWinder is built for heavy-duty use by the industrial contractor and can also be used by a homeowner. The 105 has several improvements over the SideWinder 101: Increased rear shaft hardness and the addition of LP seals throughout, extending swivel life; and a fluted cover design to create a focused spray pattern at the external radius of the spray bar arc.

Adam Roberts, service manager at Web Co Western in Glendale, Calif., has used the SideWinder for asphalt and concrete work. He liked the ease of use and end results the product gave him, and he says it's the best pressure washer he's ever come across. One machine has logged 1,000 or more hours and still has its first seal kit. “You can rebuild the unit in minutes with one tool,” he says. “The adjustments are really easy.”
