Multiquip Names New President
Roger Euliss, formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president of Multiquip. Former president Irv Levine will focus on his duties as chief executive officer, with a strong focus on acquisitions, factories and international expansion.
The promotion was made because of the Carson, Calif.-based company's recent strong growth, which prompted the need for internal reorganization.
Euliss joined Multiquip in 1981 as a district manager, and has since served as regional manager, national sales manager, vice president of sales and EVP/COO. Euliss will continue to oversee domestic and international sales with additional concentration on profit and loss, equipment decisions, marketing and advertising and general operations requirements.
Maxim Crane Works, based in Pittsburgh, and CEO Jeff Fenton announced the company's name change from Anthony Crane Rental with the recent acquisitions of 10 other crane, air compressor, aerial man lift and hydraulic truck lift rental service suppliers.
Makita USA, based in La Mirada, Calif., named Gary Morikawa president. Morikawa's previous 29 years with the tool and accessory manufacturer included stints as general manager of new product development and president of Makita United Kingdom.
Vermeer Manufacturing named Kevin Alft vice president of the Advanced Control Systems product group and corporate engineering, and Randy Gard vice president of global planning. Alft most recently served as director of the ACS group, while Gard was the Pella, Iowa, company's director of corporate procurement.
Hamm Compactors, Irving, Texas, announced four additions to its sales and marketing departments. Richard Evans is the new national sales manager, Bruce Monical is the new marketing manager, and Steve Strom and Jim Hornsby were named regional sales directors. Strom manages the company's southeastern U.S. sales region, while Hornsby oversees the western U.S. and western Canada.
Ray Kruse was named Hyster MidEast's general parts manager. Kruse has 21 years' experience in the material handling business and will be based at Hyster's Cincinnati headquarters. The company also named Rick Schrimpf controller.
UpRight, Inc. a scissor-, mast- and boomlift manufacturer based in Selma, Calif., named Stan Parkey and Edward Crosson regional sales managers for the western and south-central regions. They have more than 40 years of sales experience combined.
K.C. Miller was named vice president, rental markets, at demolition attachments manufacturer Tramac Corp., based in Parsippany, N.J. Miller has more than 20 years' experience in the rental industry.
Compaction America named Lee Taylor sales manager for its central U.S. region. Taylor will be responsible for heavy equipment sales activities. The company also promoted Barry Lowe to sales manager for its west region. Lowe has served as a district sales manager since 1983 for the Kewanee, Ill.-based firm.
John Wheeler was named president of Grove Worldwide's international operations. Previously, he headed operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for the Shady Grove, Pa., manufacturer of cranes and aerial work platforms. The company also named Ernest Palango vice president of sales and marketing for Grove Manlift's North American distribution network, and Jeffrey Spidel director of Manlift product development. In addition, the company expanded the duties of service operations director Keith Cider, who assumes responsibility for aerial work platform field service and administration in the Western Hemisphere; sales administration director Samuel Gardner, who takes on all aerial work platform and crane sales administration duties; and market support director John Bittner, who becomes responsible for aerial work platform advertising and publicity in the Western Hemisphere.
Holdrege, Neb.-based portable light tower manufacturer Allmand Bros. appointed Michael Carter industrial sales manager. Most recently, Carter served as sales manager with GrimmerSchmidt Compressors.
